I don't usually comment on documentary because a lot depends on the personal sensibilities of the viewers and I don't feel adding my review would help anyone watch or not. However, I'll make an exception for this one, which I saw a few years ago and still remains with me to this day. On paper, it seems like a simple "inspirational" tale of disease and triumph but the circumstances of this particular documentary make it more of study of a conflict that has kept people apart for decades, and of the people who have to see their way through it if anyone is going to survive it. 5/5

I thought this was quite interesting. I couldn't help but think what will her son become? Will he become a shahid like she said she would raise him to be or will he remember or even be told of what Jews did for him and his family to save his life? All of what she said in the hospital during the conversation where she said she would raise her son to be a shahid really speaks volumes about the mentality of some people. After all that was done for her son by Jews she would say such a thing. Though later she seemed to be trying to change what she said, it seems those were her true intentions and that is quite sad and disturbing.
